The nature of the sound was not revealed until the perfection of 35mm optical sound in 1929 and allowed to be edited , rearranged and put into different tracks synchronous with the image. But the real revolution came later with the invention of re-recording , where several tracks of sound could be separately controlled and then staged. The new expressive possibilities open the way for the development of sound design. Currently a soundtrack use such amount of sound effects that is essential the use of digital technologies to streamline the sonorous speech to the audience. The importance of sound is equal or greater than the images and always an element to consider in any production.
