The term “post production ” names the set of processes applied to all registered or recorded material : montage, subtitling, voice-over, special effects, including other audiovisual sources , etc. It belongs to a “third” level when not working with raw material. For the French theorist Nicolas Bourriaud , the most representative visual arts in recent years amplify and extend the concept of ready made anticipatory prepared by Marcel Duchamp. Therefore also they reflect on the merger between production and consumption . Visual artists perform work always from preexisting materials : ie generate meaning from a selection and combination of heterogeneous elements already given. Editing is always a creative process that involves a lot of dedication to get the desired result . Visual , graphic and sound elements are ordered and there is a magical moment everything starts to gain meaning .
